Michaela, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m just a girl from the west side of Atlanta that hasn’t became a statistic. I believe your work ethic makes you successful. I work long days but I love the outcome short and long term. Stay dedicated stay hungry stay humble. I’ve been through a lot just recently losing everything I own in a house fire but I kept faith. Faith will be the way out.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing is easy. Take nothing for granted. Everything you go thru you should grow thru. You should never give up and always keep faith. To my young ladies always be you. Don’t let society and social media rush you, or influence you to do or be anything other than yourself. Character will get your further than money ever can

For those who know me are so surprised at what I do today. I was once the tomboy, I played every sport literally. I was the only girl on my little league team from 8-12. I would’ve never thought I’d become such a beauty influencer. I’m currently a makeup artist. I’m known for my Barbie beats and my slogan KutebyK. I love what I do. I love making women feel so beautiful. I love being apart of the empowerment of women
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
Growing up I was the only girl no sisters or girl cousins so I was always considered the chosen one. I would always get picked to be the lead in plays, music, sports teams etc. when I was 10 years old my mom was diagnosed with Lupus. I went from being the normal kid to being the rock of the family. I had to bathe my mother, clothe and feed her. I remember everything my mom has ever said she wanted and I vowed then I would make sure she get everything she asked for. I was the first to graduate high school in my family. I’m the first generation millionaire. I’m the one
