Today we’d like to introduce you to Naomi James.
Hi Naomi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thank you so much for asking. I have created a brand, Naomi James, LLC using my name. Why you might ask? With over 15 years of dance experience and what I would say a good amount of life experience, I chose my name because here I am, all of me. My brand represents all the beautiful, hidden parts of me that have been locked away for so long. Throughout my life, I have found myself always trying to fit in. I spent so much time trying to be accepted by my peers and one day, I just grew tired. I had to come to terms with some hard truths.
The world wasn’t going to change, so I had to! I’ve always known I was special. My parents made sure I’d never forget it. I had to believe it as much as they did. Driven by purpose while sharing parts of me through the art of dance, as well as nurturing a strong mindset for my dancers. Dance can only take you so far, but let’s take a deeper dive into who you are as a person. What’s your mindset? What are you telling yourself daily? What is holding you back from your greatness in which you already possess? So many magnificent tools that can easily go unnoticed. I want to take everything I’ve learned and share not only with my students but also the world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My family and friends have been very supportive of my efforts. The only real challenge was the process, meaning getting all of the required legal and regulatory paperwork done to establish my business.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Dancer, Trainer, Choreographer, Coach and Creator. I specialize in Choreography – getting the best from my students through training. I love seeing my students’ progress. When they bring to life an idea that I created through choreography, it makes me proud. I would say what sets me apart from others is that I am not easily influenced by the things in society. I chart my own path.
