Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Kesler.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My mother always stressed to me the importance of taking care of your skin, so from an early age she would take me to get facials and fancy skincare products, which I loved. I knew that I wanted to do something similar to make women feel good about themselves. I flailed around a bit in college taking everything from fashion marketing to video production at an art school before finally completing a degree in Journalism, but knew that I still wasn’t fulfilled. I had two young children at the time and juggling mom duties, school, and a part-time “just to make the ends meet type of job” just didn’t leave enough time to really pursue my passion in the way I wanted to. Eventually, as my children became school age I finally got the opportunity to explore my esthetic talents and worked at a local waxing spa and found that I really felt connected with not only the beauty aspect of the job, but the way my clients would open up to me. The human connection that is established as a woman entrusts you with her appearance is a phenomenal feeling. I worked there for a short time before discovering the medical side of skincare and lasers and decided that that was more my speed. I moved to Philadelphia and took a job for a corporate laser company and when the opportunity presented itself to transfer back to Atlanta, I did so. I spent the next few years working for medical spas in the Atlanta area and knew in the back of my mind I not only wanted to provide great services, but I wanted to own my own and needed to be my own boss.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In my case being a single mom and overcoming the fear of being out on your own without a steady paycheck was the biggest challenge, but it’s a risk you have to take if you want to be an entrepreneur and make your own way.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Skin So Bare Laser Center – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Skin So Bare Laser Center specializes in the ultimate customer service experience when it comes to laser hair removal, laser skin services, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and we even offer B12 Lipotropic shots to speed up your metabolism. The aspect that sets us apart is our attention to detail and making sure each client feels like a million bucks when they leave. We don’t believe in rushing them in and out, although we are efficient, we want clients to leave feeling like all their questions were answered and confident about the treatment they received.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve benefited from using?
Yes, of course where would a girl be without these things? Right now, I’m currently obsessed with a blog called yoyodestiny.wordpress.com.
