Life & Work with Adaeze Orji of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adaeze Orji.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started performing at around 3 years old in the church choir and for my dads guest who came over. He would call us downstairs to sing for their entertainment. Odd enough I only began my professional music journey 2 years ago after dropping a freestyle on IG that I felt strongly about sharing with the world. Since then I’ve won two singing competitions, traveled to different states and even country to follow my dreams and reach more people. I’d say Los Angeles during the pandemic was the most character building for my performances thus far. Much love to Onye Ibekwe in Downtown Los Angeles doing his thing. He gave me the opportunity to display my talents for great people by the hundreds most nights and I’m grateful for that.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’d say traveling back home to Nigeria to connect with some executives, influencers, and artist. I won’t say too much lol but it was a struggle but there were some successes as well.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a singer, songwriter & performer. I also screen write as well. I’m known for my crazy anointed energy that I share with my audience through my music and presence. I’m most proud of the journey so far it’s been a great one and I know it’s only beginning. Sometimes I forget all the many great things I’ve done during my time but my mother doesn’t hesitate to remind me. What sets me apart is that I stay in my own lane I harness my energy from within and I don’t seek to compare myself to anyone other than being the best of me I can for that day.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Yea of course there’s so many in their own way who has contributed to my life and music career. Too many to name and I wouldn’t want to leave anyone out. But they’ve showed up!!! That’s major when being a rising artist to have people come out and support you is everything and I have that and have had that from the beginning. And they even tell a friend or bring them along some times and that’s always a blessing.
