Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexas Durr-Terry.

Hi Alexas, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was a kid with many different interests, and little did I know that my many interests would make me into a multifaceted professional with so much drive. I’m a behind-the-scenes girl— my husband would call me type A, but I appreciate the process it takes to reach a goal, even if it can be a tad frustrating. I cannot necessarily put myself in one box; nonetheless, I can say that the multitude of skills I have built have put me in a position to only soar higher in operational settings and work and that my skills will unlock my wildest dreams. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing worth it is easy. I always struggled with trying to fit in because that’s what the world tells you to do. But little did I know I wasn’t meant to fit in. I have my friend Edna to thank for that. She saw so much more in me and spoke life in a new way. Not saying that she was the only one, but she has spoken into my talents and gifts. People tell you not to work with your friends, but Edna and I are beyond that. We know how to do both and know what the other one may need. Our sisterhood is a true testimony that you can do business and maintain a friendship. Initially, I started my consulting business because people told me I was good at telling people how to do things. But I think God knew that I would experience confusion, leading me to operations and talent (leadership) development. 

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve pivoted a lot, and backtracking to the very beginning would make us be here all day. LXSM Consulting focuses on helping new businesses and individuals create systems to maximize efficiency through strength development and lasting impressions. What I’m most proud of with my work through LXSM Consulting is that I get to the core of a person and help them elevate their why. It’s a lot on the front end, but the longevity of remembering why you started something can keep you grounded.
