Life & Work with Alexis Jones of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Jones

Hi Alexis , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In the midst of figuring out what I wanted out of life post graduation I felt I needed to be more intentional. So, I decided to plan out my days and make measurable/attainable goals to reach. I realized how beneficial it would be to provide other women with tools to help them navigate the stressors of life. I’ve always been into graphic design, so I created the “That Girl Daily Routine” and put myself out there for the first time as an entrepreneur.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely been trial and error, but most new things are going to have some bumps. Main struggle I could say is finding the right platform to sell these online products, knowing what gains the most traction. I know how to fix this issue of course so it is a struggle that can be overcome. Overall, the amount of support I’ve gained has been rewarding. The support always outweighs the struggle.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I currently work as a systems engineer but beyond that I am also a creative. I love fashion, beauty, and music. I recently stepped into modeling for local clothing brands and would like to expand on that venture. I am most proud of my digital products and having the ability to create something meaningful and impactful for other women like me. I believe what sets me apart from others is my tenacity and aspirations of becoming a renaissance woman, meaning I don’t want to be put in a box. I feel that I can and will accomplish anything I set my mind to. The world is mine.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My biggest supporters have been my family, sorority sisters, and of course my friends. I have grown so much over this past year and it wouldn’t have been possible without them. I often ask for input before I ever published anything for public view. Getting outside opinions is always helpful. I also wanna shout out my mentor Aaliyah Terry who has constantly poured into me since I met her! She always says how much she sees in me and gives awesome advice!
