Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Tinson
Hi Andrea, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My introduction into the beauty industry began when I was in high school. I am from a small, country town in Georgia where we didn’t have makeup artists and estheticians. So through youtube, I taught myself how to do makeup and began servicing my community which led me to esthetics.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth. Although I have many successes in life, I have always struggled to know if I’m doing the right thing for myself. I received my bachelor’s of Science at Columbus State University but the entire time, I knew I wanted to get my esthetics license. Now that I have my esthetics license, I often wonder and go back and forth about what type of esthetician I want to be.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a licensed esthetician that specializes in makeup.
I do offer other services such as facials and waxing but currently I am doing business as a travel makeup artist while I take trainings and perfect my other skills.
I am most proud of my loyalty in my clientele. I always try to go above and beyond and make my experience seamless to keep my clients happy.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I am a firm believer in faith and determination. I believe that if God will bring me to something, he will bring me through it.
When it comes to luck, there a lucky days, and not so lucky days. You just have to capitalize on the lucky ones.
