Hi Ashly, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m AshlyCBaby a singer songwriter from Atlanta. I got my start in music at a very early age. Both of my parents were in the music industry. My mom sang background for Celine Dion and my dad toured the world with Peabo Bryson. I got signed to a record label underneath def jam at 16 years old. Today I write my own music and act in movies. I’ve had my music featured in several films and I’ve had pop records of mine played all over the world. I love music and find it to be an outlet. I plan to continue to make music and share it with the world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being in the industry has not been easy. I find it very difficult sometimes to navigate through especially as a female artist. A lot of people want to work with me for reasons that have nothing to do with the craft.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Im known for my movies and my music. I specialize in singing. I’ve been a professional singer for over 15 years. I’m really proud of the art I create myself. I’ve accumulated over 1 million streams in my original music. People are really attracted to my bubbly and outgoing personality.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I have taken lots of risks to fulfill my dreams. I’ve spent thousands into my career. I’ve downsized my lifestyle just to invest into my craft.
