Life & Work with Bailey Lee of Cleveland Georgia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bailey Lee

Hi Bailey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been involved in the vinyl and graphics industry for as long as I can remember. My uncle raced NASCAR and would wrap his cars with vinyl before each race. I remember watching this process happen as a kid and thinking how cool it would be to one day do the same thing. As years progressed I slowly picked up more and more of the skills throughout the industry. I was eventually sent to Roland Academy to learn how to fully wrap a vehicle. After acquiring my Roland Academy certificate, I knew what I wanted to do for my career. I spent the next few years really diving deep into the industry while also learning to screen print apparel. I was able to go get my certificate of completion for screen printing and continue to screen print alongside vinyl installations for about 5 years. In 2023 acquired a job at a vinyl wrap shop as a lead installer while my time there was short, was able to perfect a lot of my skills. When it came time to renew my contract for the following year, we could not agree upon terms. This is when I realize that I wanted to own a company instead of working for a company. I’ve been in the industry for a little over seven years at this time and knew that I had what it would take to operate a business. I started my business in January 20 24 and my first month was extremely slow. Instead of giving up, I started making phone calls and emails to customers and other shops. This is where I was able to pick up multiple shops to contract install, and I was able to acquire my own customers as well. My first year as a business owner started hard but ended with great success. I had accomplished install work for over 9 shops all year, and had grown my business enough that I was able to narrow down my work to just my personal shop and 1 contract shop. While January was a scary month and I had no idea how things would work out, by the end of the year I learned I had made 5 times the income I had ever made in my life time. With the 2025 year rolling in, I signed up for my Avery Certifciation, I was able to complete this at the top of the class and was the first person to finish the certification that day. I was recognized by world famous installer Justin Pate and premier vinyl company Avery Dennison. In the coming years I hope that we can grow our shop into a bigger and better business with emoloyees, a bigger shop, and benefits that serve our employees long term making them feel like family.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest challenge was starting out, I had no direction on how to get work flowing. I spent countless hours reaching out through emails and phone calls until I aquired customers.

Another major challenge was learning advertising, while it sounds simple, it is not. I spent hours learning how to market through social media and online.

A challenge that I still struggle with is time, I have made such a impact with my installation speed and quality that I often find myself over loaded with work from my shop and contractors. This work overload is on the fine line of being achievable by myself but also needing to hire a second hand.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My career is labeled as graphics and design. We wrap cars, signs, print apparel, and create design logos for company’s & individuals.

We specialize in vinyl wraps including commercial and color change wraps.

I am best known for my speed while mainting top tier quality.

I am most proud that I was able to be a part of making some of the Atlanta Falcons training gear and dropping that off to them, but I am also equally as proud of every vehicle wrap that leaves because that’s where my true passion is.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Finding a mentor is a great first step, my mentor was my uncle. Although it would seem as he was being to hard on me with how often he criticized my work, it’s best that you find someone like this because it would push you to perfect your work and do better. Although it almost broke my family relation with my uncle, I look back now and I can not thank him enough for what he did and how hard he pushed me.
