Today we’d like to introduce you to Benjamin and Terri Alford.
Hi Benjamin and Terri, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Benjamin and I are both from a media production background. We founded Gorilla N Jane Media LLC in 2015 with a Nikon D2700 and a MacBook Pro. From there we continued honing our skills with small gigs around the city, online classes, and adventurous days of street photography. Over the years growing our clientele one project at a time and building lasting relationships along the way, we have had our valley experiences and took them all in stride. With every challenge, we have persevered, grown sharper, more creative, intuitive and become full blown badasses in the industry. As we continue to construct our dynasty we acknowledge only ourselves as competition and stay in a constant state of gratitude for the evolution of ourselves, our craft and our company.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No! Although we will not complain about our challenges, the most significant one was learning to work together. We come from two different styles and perspectives in the industry. Once we gained knowledge of each other’s style the kinks seemed to dissipate as our vision became more clear.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Our advice would be to educate yourself and find a niche you are passionate about and develop your own lane. Stay consistent and keep a circle of like-minded individuals around at all times.
Communicate, Communicate, Communicate, with your business partner and clients and be sure to get EVERYTHING in writing!
Pricing:
- Cinematography- $350 for 5 minute video- up to 45 minutes of filming (1 location &editing included)
- Cinematography- $550 for 10 minute video- up to 60 minutes of filming (editing included)
- Cinematography- $750 for 15 minute video- up to 90 minutes of filming (editing included)
- Photography- $100 per hour minimum 2 hours (5 edits & entire session of raw images)
- 360 Photobooth- $250 per hour minimum 2 hours
