Life & Work with Beverley Maxwell of Cumming/Alpharetta/St.Louis Mo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beverley Maxwell.

Hi Beverley, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began to recognize my gift in 2019 as I moved from my family and began to buy flowers for my home. I have always had the gift of hospitality. Growing up in a large family we always had events and I began to learn the art of food and table settings at the age of 13. The art of plating food and a warm inviting atmosphere and beauty of the table always blew me away. I have always loved decor and have been a collector of different items in different eras of my life. I collected vases at one time, crystal at another time and beautiful tableware. In the bedroom elegant and cozy atmosphere. I love to mix traditional with modern styles. In 2020 I began to photograph my tablescapes and it took off from there and Iam currently still showcasing my talents in personal friends and families homes.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road just as I began to setup and launch beeboujeedecor, my brother got sick and I had a great setback. I ended up selling my vehicle to help with his living expenses and I lost my house and moved in with him and my niece and cared for him as he was in hospice and lost his battle and died in 2022. I continued to do my tables and photograph them and I am now healed and ready to move forward with my dreams.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Most of my experiences have been in retail as management, where I have learned about textures and fabric I operated the bed/bath sections, furniture, curtains, and rugs, as well as food cases in stores. I am also into fashion and accessories and I am mostly known for my attention to detail. Im proud of the fact that I can take 1 item and build on that and never buy all items at one time and I dislike sets or matching items. What sets me apart from others is I bring a spiritual anointing and a different mindset to how I operate.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was and am a nurturer and I feel deeply and I love to laugh and be free to be
