Brandon Ellis began training in the performing arts at age 7. Ellis’ career spans well over 29 years of professional experience in dance, teaching dance, choreography, acting, singing, and a host of other talents
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Vitiligo, being accepted as gay by society, and allowing the performing arts to heal my pain
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m considered a triple threat in the performing arts entertainment industry. My favorite form of performing arts today would be Acting. I’m proud to have trained at The AlvinAiley American Dance Center on full scholarship while Mr. Ailey was still alive and in the building.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I really have grown to enjoy my own company; mediation practices are huge in my time alone. I prefer peace over drama. I lovvvvvvvvve to laugh over crying.
