Brandon , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Started Black Is Wealth Clothing in 2020 in New Jersey. Our mission is to inspire our culture to realize there is wealth in being Black. When we say, Black is wealth we are talking about our strength, resilience and brilliance each of us has inside us. Using our Black Wealth, we can get any other form of wealth we desire.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building the brand has had its ups and downs. The biggest thing I’ve struggled with is marketing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work in corporate.
I am most proud of how far I’ve come as a business owner. At the beginning, I did not know what I was doing as far as running a business. Each month I’ve grown and gotten better. What sets my brand apart from others is the meaning. There are a lot of brands out there but there are few that carry a strong message is Black is Wealth it one.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
The advice I would give to someone who’s starting out is that you are capable of archiving great things if you don’t give up. The road to success is never straight so don’t get too low on your lows.
