Hi Brittany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always loved language and creating. After graduating with my Bachelor of Arts in English from Georgia State University in 2011, I began striving for my Masters in Professional Writing at SCAD Atlanta in 2012. Here, as a Graduate Assistant, I learned editing, grant writing, creative writing and content creation for online platforms. I grew that knowledge at Ackerman Security Systems a few years later as the Reputation Specialist for the company. In 2019, my husband and I stepped out on faith and began working full-time for our own businesses. Vision Digital Marketing and West Lawn Care were our only sources of our family’s income, and we’ve learned so much and worn so many hats.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, but it has definitely been a rewarding one. We are able to put our family 1st as business owners. It can make it financially difficult being an invoice away from uncomfortable situations, however, we’re dedicated to hard work and balance. We are able to spend time together with our 3 children and remember what we work for.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in making social media less scary. My prices are clear and fair with no surprising fees and I can be as involved or removed from the online platforms as my client requests. I can be as involved as creating and scheduling content, hashtags and captions along with review requests.
I can also create 7 second videos for the month and send it to the company I’m partnering with for them to post as they wish.
I also help people who want to self-publish as a passion. I am a children’s book author and love to assist others in making their self-published book dreams a reality.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
“The Garden Within” by Dr. Anita Phillips and “I Did a New Thing: 30 Days to Living Free” by Tabitha Brown are 2 of my recent favorites. My family are members of New Life Church in Decatur where we get fed spiritually.
