Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Wright.
Hi Brooke, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my photography business in 2019 after my husband and I quit our jobs working for the Navy and moved back to Georgia. I have been building my business ever since.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My struggles were getting started in building my business and learning how to operate a business effectively.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a photographer specializing in families, events, and couples. I love candid photos that represent who a family or individual is. I want to tell stories with my art. I also love people and enjoy the time when I get to spend with my clients serving them. The more laughing and smiles off camera during a session, the happier I am at the end. I want it to be a fun experience for everyone and not a laborious task.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I think risk is necessary to succeed. I quit my job and moved back to Georgia in 2019 and took a chance on starting a business. I started out making almost nothing when I had a well-paying, stable job.
