Life & Work with CCMarie

Today we’d like to introduce you to CCMarie.

Hi CCMarie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It was 2018 and I found myself having anxiety and chronic fatigue. I was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder and it only compounded the mental fatigue I was already feeling as a new mother of two. I always have had an affinity for crystals and rocks and started working with them to create rustic jewelry for myself and my children. I had a surprising response from friends and family wanting me to create pieces for them. Grand Vibrations was born shortly after that and continues to thrive. I found that my excitement for life returned after helping others by using crystal jewelry.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Sometimes it felt like as soon as I would good a good grasp on something then it would change. Social media for example. The platforms are always growing and algorithms changing. It can be difficult to reach people who are already following me, let alone gain new customers. I enjoy troubleshooting, so it’s fun to see what works and doesn’t.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Grand Vibrations offers handmade jewelry that is created from crystals and gemstones. All pieces are handmade and carefully curated with its potential wearer in mind. I have taken several crystal healing and information courses so that I am knowledgeable on crystal properties. I am big on spreading positive and loving energy. I think most of my customers can feel the love as soon as they open their packages.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
During the Covid 19 crisis, I have been able to slow down and enjoy life a little more. My family was home and I was able to spend so much time with them and in nature. Prior to the pandemic, I felt I was victim to the rat race and caught up in routine. Now I’m able to recognize when I need to unplug and check in on me and my family.
