Life Work with Char Montana Lee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Char Montana Lee

Char Montana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up, I always knew I had an entrepreneurial and creative spirit. From creating small crafts to sell at the age of 8, to hosting a sold-out event for my Sweet 16, to forming groups and communities that brought women together in high school and college, I’ve always been driven by a desire to make an impact.

I’ve created fashionable statement tees that resonated across various states and cultures and always found ways to fuel my creativity and interests. Today, I own my own creative and marketing agency and build platforms that educate, empower, and inspire others to evolve and grow with today’s technology and society.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My creative journey hasn’t always been smooth. Being an entrepreneur and a creative involves constant challenges and a continuous learning process, often leading to tireless moments, mental overload, and a fear of the unknown.

Despite these obstacles, it’s crucial to keep moving forward with tunnel vision and stay focused. Adapting, growing, and evolving are essential, as is never giving up. It’s important to have faith and keep going, even when you don’t feel your best. Find your “WHY” and let that always be your reminder to persevere.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a creative entrepreneur and marketing strategist. I specialize in helping creatives and entrepreneurs build and expand their personal brands, attract more attention to their businesses and products, and find the confidence to grow and scale their personal brands.

My creative marketing agency, Elite Horizons Agency, offers services such as creative coaching and consulting, personal branding, and digital media and marketing.

I’m incredibly proud of the progress I’ve made, including the creation of multiple platforms that empower and educate people. These platforms inspire innovative thinking and address culturally relevant topics that resonate with millennials and future generations.

What sets me apart is my commitment to continuous learning and finding new ways to thrive in today’s social landscape. I am always eager to learn, assist, and grow while staying true to my core values.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Some books and other tools that have significantly helped me along my journey include “Building a StoryBrand” by Donald Miller, which provides a clear framework for effective brand communication and storytelling, and “Influencer: Building Your Personal Brand in the Age of Social Media” by Brittany Hennessy, a practical guide for anyone looking to build a personal brand and monetize their influence on social media. “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz offers four simple agreements that can lead to personal freedom and a fulfilling life, while “Atomic Habits” by James Clear explores how small changes can lead to remarkable results in building good habits and breaking bad ones. “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki challenges conventional views on money and investing.

“YouTube University” has been a great resource for staying updated, learning new skills, and growing, with tutorials, talks, and courses on virtually any topic of interest.
Additionally, connecting and gaining insight from other social media thought leaders in the space provides value and keeps me informed about the latest trends and strategies. Leveraging these resources has allowed me to stay informed, continuously improves my skills, and maintains a growth mindset in both my personal and professional life.
