Hi Chellvie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Have you ever had the feeling that life is just so much bigger than you? You get butterflies seeing someone else thrive in their passion or vision? Yeah… That feeling. The Redefined Way was created as a brand for the individuals who follows their heart to inspire. It’s for the person or persons who has the vision to create, utilize their faith, gifts, talent and differences to create or do something deeper than the societal limits they experience each day. The Redefined Way is a motivational brand that gives supporters the courage to say, I’m doing me, period. Your talents, dreams and aspirations, they all matter. Our job is to motivate this sector of individuals to take the limits off and live life outside of their comfort zone.
I personally lived life under the fear of what society had to say about the decisions I made. Society being majority family impact, social impact, and career impact. I realized how unhappy life was turning out to be. In my youth, I remember being so free-spirited and having the courage to do things regardless of what someone said. As life happened, I didn’t realize the sort of limits I was creating for myself. My power to pivot belongs to me, and that’s ultimately what I want to encourage supporters to understand- their life, their choice (backed by faith and discernment, I hope 😉 ). If there ever was a time to just Be You- now is that time! Live life The Redefined Way.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
NAH! The road has been anything but smooth. Honestly, The Redefined Way is another pivot. The first business I created, MsConceptions (huge shout out to everyone who supported and is still supporting the brand), was a vision I knew God gave me, and ultimately I never had the answer to what it should be. So I started creating without a plan and with zero knowledge of what I was doing. I just knew I wanted to create. Fast forward, God threw another vision my way. This time, I prepared and am still preparing The Redefined Way for the world. I used what I learned through Creating MsConceptions as a baseline for what I wanted to accomplish with The Redefined Way.
You hear it a lot, and it’s not a cliché, Minority Business owners don’t have it easy. From raising capital to having the right legal documentation in place to be able to run a sustainable business.
There’s also the motivation aspect or lack thereof. Simply put- when you solely run your business, you have to find the motivation to actually run it. Sometimes that’s hard to do, and losing motivation is a real feeling that I do not think a lot of people address, but I want to be as transparent and realistic as possible when I share my story. I want to be a vessel for someone who needs to address their inner self.
All of this was/is a testament to the journey. However, I’ve kept my promise to myself that I will continue to create at my pace and the pace God needs me to while learning and understanding the different dynamics of running a profitable, successful Brand.

The Redefined Way is a fashion resource that encourages people to live authentically free of societal and self-imposed boundaries that limit their dreams, passions, differences, and creativity.
I’m proud of the ability to create a brand and spaces for people to be themselves and heighten their creativity, gifts, and abilities.
I’m here to aspire and encourage the authentic self. The Redefined Way allows people to be comfortable with living outside of the box. It’s about taking the limits off yourself and your fashion.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Through the provision of clothing that promotes an unbounded reality, The Redefined Way plans to create inclusive communal spaces for individuals to express themselves while being themselves.
