Hi Chelsea, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Skin has always been a thing for me in life, but makeup started as a hobby. Makeup was my escape from reality. I began to research and learn more about the beauty industry and fell deeper in love. The beauty industry will always be around, and it’s forever changing, so I will never stop learning.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worth fighting for is easy, but it’s rewarding. There have been times where I wanted to give up because things were not progressing the way I felt they should, but when I see my client’s reactions and reviews, I know I’m doing something right.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a serial entrepreneur and I have my hands in a few things. First and foremost I’m a licensed esthetician, licensed esthetics instructor, and makeup artist. I love everything about skin and sharing that knowledge with others. I specialize in soft glam and bridal makeup, which includes airbrush makeup as well. I also own and operate a Yoni company and a beard care company. What I’m most proud of is that through it all I haven’t given up and that’s also what sets me apart. My determination and my willingness to learn.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice would be to do it afraid. You will never know what you are capable of until you try. Always be genuine because you never know who is watching and where that one opportunity or person can take you.
