Today we’d like to introduce you to CiCi Finger.
Hi CiCi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Ciera “CiCi” Finger, born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois. Growing up there gave me grit, resilience, and a passion for storytelling. About six years ago, I made a life-changing move to Marietta, Georgia, right outside of Atlanta, to pursue new opportunities for myself and my daughter. That leap of faith opened doors I never could have imagined.
I’ve been in the acting industry for five years, starting out in background roles and grinding my way up to speaking parts, supporting roles, and eventually lead roles. My journey includes projects like Off the Grid (my first lead role), 6668 (a Netflix film with Tyler Perry released December 2024), 4Four Series (where I play Olivia Wellington), and recurring roles like Officer Jones in Watch It and Detective Washington in Justin Jackson’s skits. I’ve also been featured in films like Hustler’s Dreams, Betrayal 4 & 5, Sisters in the Strink 5, and more.
Beyond acting, I’m a serial entrepreneur, wardrobe stylist, motivational speaker and certified life coach. Speaking life and Styling has always been a gift of mine, with over 10 years of experience helping people shine in their truest selves. It’s what I was called to do.
Spiritually, I run a brand called Spiritual Guidance Goddess, offering readings, coaching, and motivational content to help others heal and align with their higher selves. My journey through homelessness, motherhood, and personal setbacks has shaped my mission: to remind people that no matter what you’ve been through, you can “glow through it.” That message inspired my writing, including my upcoming book Mirror Message: Reflections, Truth, and Healing for the Real Ones.
But at the heart of everything I do is my daughter, Ja’Zelle. She’s my biggest motivation, my why, and the reason I keep pushing no matter what. Watching her flourish with her own gifts—braiding, designing, and creating—reminds me daily that God’s timing is everything.
From East St. Louis to Atlanta, my journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been purposeful. I’m here to shine, to tell real stories on screen and off, and to inspire others to remember who they are, no matter what life throws their way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Yes, I’ve faced plenty of struggles along the way. One of the biggest was when my daughter and I went through homelessness for almost a year. That was one of the hardest seasons of my life, but it also taught me how to trust God’s timing and never give up, no matter how dark things seemed.
In this industry, I’ve also dealt with betrayal from people I trusted—individuals who pretended to support me but had hidden motives or turned their backs on me when I needed them most. It hurt, but it also taught me valuable lessons about discernment, protecting my spirit, and keeping my circle small.
Starting out in background roles, there were times I questioned if I’d ever break through. I’ve faced rejection, long hours on set, and the constant pressure of balancing single motherhood while chasing my dreams. On top of that, I’ve had health challenges—diabetes and high blood pressure that even landed me in the hospital.
But here’s what I’ve learned: every struggle—whether it was losing everything, betrayal, or being overlooked—was really a setup for something greater. Those experiences built my strength, sharpened my faith, and gave me the resilience to keep moving forward. And now, when I walk into rooms, I know I belong there because I’ve already survived the hardest parts.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What I do and specialize in:
I wear many hats, but they all tie back to storytelling, healing, and uplifting others. I’m an actress with five years in the industry, moving from background roles to speaking parts, supporting characters, and now lead roles in films and series. I’m a wardrobe stylist with over 10 years of experience, a certified life coach, and the founder of Spiritual Guidance Goddess, where I specialize in spiritual readings, coaching, and motivational content.
What I’m known for:
People know me for keeping it real, whether I’m on set, behind the mic, or working one-on-one with someone. I’m known for my authenticity, my energy, and the way I inspire people to “glow through it” no matter what they’re going through. I’ve also become known for my versatility as an actress — playing everything from mothers and detectives to lawyers and lead roles — and for the way I bring truth and emotion to every character.
What I’m most proud of:
I’m most proud of the fact that I never gave up. From overcoming homelessness with my daughter, to pushing through rejection in the industry, to writing my book Mirror Message), it’s going to be a game changer. every milestone is proof that resilience pays off. But more than anything, I’m proud of raising my daughter, Ja’Zelle, and showing her that no matter your circumstances, you can create the life you dream of.
What sets me apart:
What sets me apart is my transparency. I don’t just show the glitz and glam of the entertainment world — I share the struggles, the betrayals, the health battles, and the faith that carried me through it all. I bring that same realness into my acting, my hosting, and my spiritual coaching. People connect with me because they see themselves in my journey. I’m not afraid to be raw and vulnerable, and that authenticity is what makes me stand out.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next five to ten years, I see myself traveling the world, speaking and pouring life into God’s people everywhere I go. I see myself on the big screen, taking on lead roles alongside some of the biggest names in the industry. One of my biggest dreams is to work with Angela Bassett — a true queen and inspiration — and I believe that will happen.
Beyond acting, I see myself changing lives through my words, my story, and my testimony. I want to help people step into their true authenticity and live in their God-given purpose. Whether it’s through film, speaking engagements, or my spiritual coaching, my mission is to empower others to be their very best self.
For me, it’s not just about success — it’s about impact. I know the platform God is giving me is bigger than me, and I plan to use it to heal, inspire, and lead others into their own greatness.
