Hi Courtney, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always admired women with style. I remember being nine years old watching my aunt get ready to go to work. She wore a hot pink skirt suite she looked so stunning. I knew then what my passion was. High school I started to develop my style setting my own trends. I love to stand out from the crowd. Fashion is my way to tell people a story. Fast-forward to today, opening up my online boutique Basic Where!?!? In 2021 has been life-changing! Basic Where specializes in celebrating life. Whether it’s celebrating your birthday, a promotion, going on vacation or on a date! Basic Where has you covered!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It wasn’t an easy journey. It took two years to start Basic Where. One of my obstacles was my mindset didn’t aligned with my goals. Lacking confidence being fearful are not characteristics of an entrepreneur.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am the CEO of Basic Where Boutique?!?! We specialize in providing our customers with fashions that celebrates life! Date nights, club hopping, brunch with girls, and birthday dinners you name it we got it! Celebrating women through fashion! What I am most proud of is having my daughter see her mother work on her passion and know she can do the same. Basic Where items will always be unique timeless pieces that will never go out of style.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love all the different cuisines. I am a foodie. I love that Atlanta has so many entrepreneurs. Literally everyone is in a different line of work. And networking is always amazing! One of my dislikes about Atlanta not having enough resources for the homeless and less fortunate.
