Hi Dayna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a Mortgage Loan Officer with the McCarden Mortgage group at American Financial Network. I’m licensed in the great state of Georgia, and I provide mortgage financing all over the United States.
As an Atlanta native who’s lived all over metro Atl, I truly love my city. I appreciate the rich history and culture and I love that people are migrating here, making it a nice little melting pot of different cultures. With all the progress that Atlanta has made, I’m reassured that anything is possible and that’s especially with real estate!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a new business/ career can be tough because you need to establish a good reputation online and let people know about your products and services to attract customers. The state of the economy also affects how well your business does. Despite these challenges, I am thankful that I get to do what I love, and I’m happy that so many opportunities to help others have come my way. I’m excited to see what the future brings!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So, what’s my role as a Mortgage Loan Officer? I determine if someone qualifies for a home or real estate investment loan based on credit, assets, liabilities, and income and if they aren’t yet ready to purchase, I prepare them for a future mortgage pre-approval.
I had a previous career in Banking & Finance and I felt like something was missing. I knew I deserved a more rewarding and fulfilling career. After a couple of years of self-reflection, I found that I have a love for real estate, a passion for helping others, and I am a firm believer that everyone deserves homeownership. So, what better way to fulfill my dreams than to assist people of all walks of life and all financial situations to achieve their goals of homeownership and generational wealth? This alone is extremely rewarding.
Also, during the pandemic, I personally ventured into real estate investing, which has given me firsthand experience with short-term and long-term rentals. As a result, I can relate to my client’s needs and concerns in this area. I take it upon myself to educate my clients about the market and offer them various options, empowering them to make well-informed decisions when it comes to purchasing investment properties.
So, whether a first-time homebuyer or a seasoned investor, I am committed to providing personalized services and tailored solutions that meet my client’s unique needs, identifying the right product and financing options just for each client!
