Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ Bronzze (Bronze).
Hi DJ, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started DJing when I was 16 years old! I started my sound company, Sounds of Dance in 2012. I started off DJing small parties after basketball games and birthday parties. Once I got to college, I started DJing on campus as well as local clubs in Florence, SC. After moving to ATL, I found my niche performing with bands! So, I travel with party bands DJing, dancing, and running sound. I’m also one of the sound engineers at my church, Encounter Atlanta.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Transitioning from SC to ATL was tough! I didn’t have any clients here, so I was traveling back to SC every weekend doing shows until I was able to network, find a job, and build clients to where I could start performing here! After finding people interested, my prices had to start low all over again, because I wasn’t known in Atlanta. I was literally starting from scratch!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m know as The Dancing DJ! I dance while I DJ or teach individuals different dance moves or line dances! I’m also known for making people laugh while doing it! Alongside DJing, I’m known to provide audio equipment for weddings, corporate events, parties, churches, etc.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I think my smile and my personality are my most important characteristics. It’s the first step in people realizing I’m easy to talk to and fun to be around, so that translates into the success of the event.
