Hi Donisha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my clothing store after not wanting to travel to follow my music career due to it keeping me away from my children. Also, being a single mom with bigger kids and bills I needed more income. I am now proud CEO & owner of D1 Pro clothing store & D1 Pro Customs & Imports Inc. It has been a journey, but one worth my time, talents & efforts. My brand can be found on our website www.d1proinc.com and at the Washington Square Mall in 10202 East Washington St Indianapolis Indiana. I hope my story encourages someone to keep going or to get started!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Living in a small city most won’t support and if so it’s for a very short time. Then to not have any partners, it gets busy, but I get it done.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am also a Healthcare Specialist, I’ve been in this business for 19 years now! I have three children, two graduates & 1 sophomore in High School. I have always did own thing with fashion now I am a specialist in design & stylist blogs. I also do hair and was signed by MTM Model and Talent Management at 36 years old & attend John Casablanca Modeling & acting School. I inspire others never think they can take from me what God has for me.
What were you like growing up?
I was a Tomboy, loved being at my grandmother house with my boy cousins and taking walks through the naborhood. My dad’s a pastor so I also attended church every Sunday and sang in the church choir.
