Life & Work with Elon “Violet the Vixen” Mackins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elon “Violet the Vixen” Mackins.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m known as an all around Entertainer. Started acting at the age of ten. Been singing all my life. I did ballet for ten years. I grew up as a theatre kid. I’ve been in several movies, TV shows and even music videos. I’m also a model and been published in a few magazines. And I’m currently pursuing my career into acting.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely NOT. Nothing is easy. If it was, we would all be where we want to be. From fiances to rejections, there are so many roadblocks that can look intimidating. But it’s all about finding a way.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m known as an Entertainer. But what I’m really known for is my acting. I’ve been acting since the age of ten. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California so I’ve been in tv shows and movies since I was 16. I’ve been a part of a few theatre groups such as the Amazing Grace Conservatory (AGC) ran by the amazing Wendy Raquel Robinson. I’ve also done roles in short films and TV shows. I believe what makes me different from others is my uniqueness when I take a role.

What are your plans for the future?
My plan in the future is to continue growing in my acting. Definitely continue to grow and learn in my craft and network and meet new people along the way.
