Life & Work with George Latham IV

Today we’d like to introduce you to George Latham IV.

Hi George, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I published my first book, I Can Be, May 2021 at just six years old. My book is a coloring activity book that targets my peer age group, “4-7”, to encourage them in different fun ways that they can be whatever they want to be. I see my book as a “brain booster” that includes coloring pages, mazes, word puzzles, math & word problems. I used my own words while my Mommy just helped me proofread & Latosha Haith illustrated. My older sister has been an Entrepreneur since she was 8 years old, so my Mommy asked me what is something I wanted to do so I can claim my own title & in my Mommy’s words “create generational wealth”, now I’m an Author!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Since my mom and dad helps me out, it’s been easy for me; besides the times where I have to be at different places on the same day! Maybe school, maybe a speaking engagement, an interview, chess, karate…who knows!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a kid author, I am a scholar at Cornerstone JDA, I am on the iTeach Chess Team for the Detroit PAL program, & I am a soon to be Red Belt at World Class Institute of Martial Arts. I am known for being the Future POTUS & I love to read and build Lego’s. I most proud of my accomplishments of writing a book and working on my next book to start my series. I am also proud that my book is included in my school’s library & that I had the chance to meet Ambassador Andrew Young. What sets me apart from others is balancing the many things I’m apart of at the age of 6 and still live a normal kid lifestyle.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What’s important to me is being a good boy, doing my chores, selling my book, getting good grades & hugging my Mom, Dad & Big Sister.
