Today we’d like to introduce you to Georgui Kassaev.
Hi Georgui, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story begins in Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia, where my early view of work, independence, and entrepreneurship was shaped by my father Igor Kassaev. He instilled in me a deep respect for self-employment and for treating time as the most valuable and irreplaceable resource we have. That perspective has guided nearly every major decision I’ve made since.
My childhood was anything but typical. By the age of fourteen, I had lived in four different countries, learned three languages, performed in front of thousands of people, and worked alongside exotic animals as part of my family’s circus business. Those experiences exposed me to different cultures, taught me adaptability, and gave me a comfort with uncertainty that later became essential in business.
Entrepreneurship became a clear path for me around the age of thirty. By that point, I had been a professional athlete, a martial arts coach, and a graduate of the University of Georgia, while holding a variety of roles across different industries. While working in the bar industry and preparing to open a dinner theater with my father in Tennessee, I took a framing carpentry job with a close friend to better understand renovation and construction—skills that are invaluable in hospitality and entertainment.
That experience sparked a genuine passion for real estate. Rebuilding homes showed me the power of property to transform both lives and communities. From there, I committed myself to learning real estate investing, became a licensed Realtor, and began working in residential and commercial sales in Athens, Georgia. I later expanded into roofing sales with Wow What A Roof and opened my own carpentry company, Euro Align, specializing in doors, windows, and trim installation.
Throughout all of this, I have continued to pursue my career as a professional actor and stunt performer. While my path may appear unconventional, each chapter has added tools, perspective, and discipline that allow me to operate effectively across business, real estate, and the creative world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road—but I look back on that with genuine appreciation.
From an early age, my life was defined by movement and change. I grew up traveling between countries, cultures, and languages, which meant stability and traditional structure were often missing. While that made formal education more challenging early on, it also gave me adaptability, confidence in unfamiliar environments, and a comfort with uncertainty that has served me well ever since. Earning two degrees from the University of Georgia with honors later in life remains one of my proudest accomplishments precisely because of how unlikely it once seemed.
Professionally, my path has never followed a straight line. I’ve worked in industries that demand constant reinvention—professional sports, acting, construction, and real estate. Each transition came with its own learning curve and periods of financial pressure, especially in fields like acting and real estate where results don’t always come quickly or predictably. Market shifts, stalled deals, and slow seasons forced me to become more disciplined, more strategic, and more patient with long-term outcomes.
One challenge I’ve grown to value is imposter syndrome. Wearing many different hats can make it easy to question yourself, especially when most people specialize in one lane. Over time, I learned to rely on facts instead of self-doubt—education completed, experience earned, and results delivered. That mindset didn’t just help me move forward; it sharpened my preparation and raised my standards.
While I do have family in the United States, I don’t have deep, multi-generational or built-in networks here. That meant I had to intentionally build my own professional and personal connections. Looking back, that process strengthened my independence and taught me how to cultivate meaningful relationships based on trust, effort, and consistency rather than convenience.
Today, I’m grateful for the setbacks. They taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of a short memory when things don’t go as planned. Each challenge shaped my character, clarified my priorities, and reinforced my belief that progress is rarely linear—but it is always possible with persistence and perspective.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Thanks for asking! I like to say I’m a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, but in a good way. My foundation is in real estate—I run my own agency, My Residence Sold, and I guide clients through buying, selling, and investing in residential and commercial properties. I also own Euro Align, where we specialize in millwork, installing doors, windows, and trim, and I work with Wow What A Roof to provide top-quality roofing services in Athens. What I’m most proud of here is helping people build cash-flowing assets and generational wealth—seeing someone take control of their future never gets old.
On the creative side, I’m a professional actor and stunt performer, with credits on shows like Stranger Things, MacGyver, Leverage: Redemption, True Lies, and a recent feature film for a big comic book franchise, Thunderbolts. Acting has taught me so much about storytelling, presence, and connecting with people—and I bring that energy to every client interaction.
What sets me apart is really my range of experiences. From performing in a circus as a kid, to fighting professionally in MMA, to running businesses and acting on set, I’ve learned how to adapt, persevere, and excel in almost any situation. People often tell me my discipline, creativity, and consistency are unmatched, and I think that’s true—but what I love most is sharing what I’ve learned to help others succeed.
At the end of the day, what drives me is helping people achieve freedom—financially, creatively, and personally—so they can spend more time on what truly matters. Every project I take on, every client I work with, I see as a chance to make a real difference.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Honestly, finding a mentor or building a strong network is all about being authentic, curious, and willing to give as much as you take. For me, the people who’ve had the biggest impact on my life and career were those I connected with genuinely, not just professionally.
Some of my best mentors came from martial arts, real estate, and acting—each taught me something different that I was missing in myself at the time. I found them by showing up consistently, asking thoughtful questions, and being open to feedback. Over time, those relationships deepened naturally.
Networking, to me, is similar—you don’t just collect contacts; you build real connections by offering value, being present, and supporting others’ goals. I’ve also learned that mentorship and networking work both ways. When you show you can contribute your skills, your energy, and your perspective, people are naturally inclined to guide you.
One practical tip: don’t wait for someone to reach out to you. If you admire someone’s work, reach out respectfully, show genuine interest, and share a little about your story. I’ve gotten some of my most valuable guidance just by having honest, upfront conversations with people I respect.
Ultimately, it’s about consistency, humility, and curiosity. Be willing to learn, and you’ll naturally attract mentors and a network that will help shape your path.
