Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Evans.
Hi Grace, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always loved photography and modeling. Being able to capture a moment that carries an emotion, a feeling, is something that has fascinated me since I was about ten and since then, I’ve known that this is what I wanted to do. Being able to be a part of shoots where I’m trusted to help bring the vision to life is something I’m always so honored to do and never take for granted. I’ve got to where I am today and I’ll get to where I’m going by simply being me. By trusting God and trusting that he’ll put me in the spaces I’m supposed to be in and around the people that are meant to see me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the biggest struggles for me have been the ones that I’ve had to deal with internally. Feeling inadequate or comparing myself to the things and the people I see. It’s so easy to feel discouraged and defeated when you don’t feel like things are going the way you want them to or moving at the pace that you desire but that’s when I have to remind myself that my journey won’t be the same as anyone else’s and I have to trust that what’s for me will be for me regardless of anyone or anything else.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a model. I feel like what sets me apart from other people and what I’m most proud of is the true love and appreciation I have for the craft. My desire to always learn more and be better constantly pushes me. My goal in any picture is to have whatever emotion I’m feeling be felt by the audience. I want to create timeless work that feels like something not just pretty pictures with cute makeup looks, and I feel like that’s what sets me apart.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I really was the same way I am now. A creative being with interest in many things but with a belief that with God I could do it all. I was confident and sure but still reserved, only outgoing and expressive around those I trust.
