Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Alexander.
Hi Gregory, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey toward being a Nutritionist and wellness product developer started when I began to gain more knowledge on diseases plaguing family members and friends. After researching specific conditions, I noticed that proper nutrition could intervene in many issues with appropriate nutrition counseling, whether early in life or later. With the products I have created over the years. I try to be a trustworthy source for simple household or everyday items many within and outside the community seek. As time went on over the years after undergrad, I noticed many people wanted nutrition counseling for several reasons. This was when I decided to obtain my RD license. I am in my Graduate Nutrition Internship at Logan University, outside St. Louis, Mo, in Chesterfield, Missouri.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey as a business owner has not always been easy. As many have felt some of the hardships over the Covid phase. Many obstacles occurred beforehand. From clients not fulfilling their contracts, simply not paying you as promised, battling with local gyms and the distrust they create within the community, or other obstacles, such as trying to please every client beyond your available means, have all been a learning experience towards being a better small business owner that will hopefully translate to being a more significant business in the near future.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Currently, I am focusing on my nutrition counseling business as I finalize the foundational work on becoming an effective Registered Dietitian. As I realized many generational curses could be intervened with nutrition at multiple stages of life as early as pre-birth. It is key to spread the knowledge of nutrition to help break lineages of health curses, whether from a parent or personal aspect. Outside of preventative and fundamental nutrition, sports nutrition has always been another passion of mine due to my sports career growing up and my willingness to help the next athlete excel toward their life goals. Most of my friends and clients can say I am reliable for solving their sudden onset of cold and flu with my Herbal tea blends through my Pharoah’s Tisanes Herbal teas or solving their beauty and blemish issues with my Pharoah’s Butta Whipped shea butter. As I have other products. These two products are the most popular and very effective in healing. As I consult with any client or most people who may be interested in my product. My skills in understanding people, their history of pain and disappointments dealing with western medicine, and disappointments dealing with other small business owners. I try to educate and assist clients in gaining understanding how one product or another can be useful towards their current disease state, along with assisting in comprehension of natural medicine.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
The role of luck has played a steady role in my life. Whether good or bad, I always see many things as God’s Plan (shoutout to Drake, OVO). Many things that have gone right have helped build confidence in the field and reassured me that I am on the right path. When bad things happen, I work to see what could have gone perfectly to change the outcome. I also see it as a learning moment and how I can spread specific knowledge to the next man or generation to help them not make those same mistakes. Sometimes good luck comes as perfectly timed as having orders and clients come to you just in time to pay for gas in a vehicle to get to new or current clients or helping pay the bills to keep the lights on for another month. All in all, my experiences as a business owner over the years have helped establish humility and other personal development skills.
