Hi Icet, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The idea of Blissful Event Decor grew in November 2020. A month after attending a balloon class seminar. I was 3-4 months postpartum & had 2 under 2. I had recently returned back to work after my maternity leave and dreaded leaving my babies with basically a stranger. So the thought of creating a business came to mind. With the help of my sister and best friend I came up with the name and logo. I then created my Instagram page and registered my business. Slowly my followers started growing & interest started growing. It was a bittersweet moment, I had to make a decision and leave my corporate job. Ideally, that was the plan, but it was still hard. It was hard to leave a place that gave me stability & a company that was always so understanding of what life threw at me.
I took a leap of faith and have been working full time, since September 2021. I owe everything to God. Time and time again He has demonstrated that I’m exactly where I should be. Also, I am forever grateful for my small village. Without them Blissful Event Decor would not be where it is.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a business with 2 under 2 was definitely a struggle, but not impossible. If I’m being honest, raising kids alone is already a challenge itself, and adding more on my plate certainly didn’t help. My husband and I had many sleepless nights & made so many sacrifices along the way. In the beginning of our journey, we sacrificed our weekends, family events, trips and so much more. Thankfully, now I am blessed to be more flexible with my schedule and take time to go on vacation, spend time with our loved ones and just have random fun days throughout the week. Certainly, great things don’t come easy!

Blissful Event Decor is an event decor business. We provide balloon services, rentals, artificial floral designs and more, for any occasion. We have done several events, such as, first birthdays, baby showers, grand openings, corporate/school events and so much more! We absolutely love seeing our clients vision come to life.
We mainly focus in balloon designs, but as trends grow we try to follow them and offer our clients the most popular designs in the market. We love evolving every year and watching our growth.
Throughout the years, I have been proud of many moments, but one I won’t ever forget is being selected as The Braves Most Valuable Business by Truist. We were showered with so many goodies and even had front row seats to the game. It was such a surreal experience, I’ll always keep in my heart.
Our work ethic is what sets Blissful Event Decor apart from others. We strive to provide the best customer service and be accommodating, as much as possible, to all of our clients. We go above & beyond for them, especially our loyal clients. We are so grateful to have a list of clients who refer us and continue to support our small business, year after year.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Being raised in the early 90’s & early 2000’s was definitely an era to live. Playing outside with friends until sunset was definitely one of my favorite childhood memories. It involved activities, such as, walking to our favorite fast food restaurant (Jack in the box), jumping the fence from our apartment complex to go play baseball, going to the pool during summer nights, walking to rent a movie at our local movie spot, walking to the public library for story time & so much more.
