Hi Jalen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I initially delved into video and production during high school through a television production program, which ignited my passion for the craft. While attending college in Hawaii, I further honed my skills, eventually extending my services to models and small businesses across various locations, including Miami, Hawaii, and California. When the pandemic hit, it offered a unique chance to delve deeper into my craft, leading to the inception of Guru Vzns Media amid the chaos. After a stint in Miami, I made the decision to relocate to Atlanta to continue my journey and further pursue my passion for videography, photography, and media production.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As I worked on building the company and expanding the brand, I experienced the painful loss of family members and friends. Beginning any endeavor is always challenging, yet amidst adversity, I learned invaluable lessons. Preparation, organization, support, and execution were instrumental in aiding my resilience amidst adversity.

What were you like growing up?
My upbringing was marked by curiosity and a spirit of adventure. Hailing from rural Louisiana, I consider myself a country boy at heart who has seamlessly integrated into city life. This blend of backgrounds has enriched my life with countless remarkable experiences. As a military child, I was exposed to diverse cultures early on, honing my ability to adapt swiftly to new environments. Quick to make friends, I learned to derive the utmost value from every experience life presents me.
