Life & Work with Juan Harris of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan Harris.

Hi Juan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I first arrived at the illustrious Clark Atlanta University in 2005, I stepped into a world that would shape both my identity and my ambitions. Coming from South Jersey, I already had the hustle, the grind, and a deep connection to music culture—but Clark, my HBCU and my entry point into Atlanta, sharpened those instincts and expanded my vision. CAU placed me right in the center of the entertainment world: movie productions happening on and around campus, music moguls visiting regularly, and a community filled with creatives hungry to build something great. The energy, culture, and ambition of Clark became the foundation of who I am today. I graduated in 2009 with a degree in Public Relations Management, and almost immediately stepped into the entertainment space, doing PR for my younger brother and his group “The Lunch Break.” Something I didn’t know would later become a major part of my journey.

My corporate path began in 2011 when I joined Coca-Cola as an Account Coordinator supporting independent retail locations, ensuring seamless service operations and installations. In 2015, I advanced to a national role supporting collegiate and professional stadium accounts across the Central, Mountain, and Western regions, orchestrating complex beverage installations before major sports and concert events. By 2019, I rose to National Account Manager for Subway Northeast, where I oversaw more than 11,000 national chain accounts. I built an account management system that the national team still uses today, while leading cross-functional groups to elevate service protocols, streamline spending, and maintain high product quality.

In 2023, I stepped into the role of National Account Manager for Chick-fil-A USA, where I lead large-scale strategy across the Southern and Midwestern U.S. I optimized spending, developed analytical tools, improved supply chain performance, enhanced beverage quality, and strengthened operational efficiency for one of the country’s most respected brands. At the same time, I expanded my creative contributions through Nike, serving as a Freelance Product Tester from 2022 to 2024, providing real-time insights and feedback that shaped product development, marketing angles, and pre-release enhancements.

Entrepreneurship has always remained central to my journey. Since 2020, I’ve served as CFO and Marketing Director for Angel Plates LLC, managing financial operations, and brand strategy while also stepping into the kitchen as an assistant chef. Through Angel Plates, we’ve cooked and catered for major names such as Rick Ross, Queen Naija, and high-profile private clients, handling large parties, private dinners, and curated culinary experiences that helped expand our brand’s reputation across Atlanta.

Most recently in my career, I had the opportunity to manage the artist Jhonni Blaze—a partnership that expanded my footprint in entertainment in ways that aligned perfectly with my early roots at CAU. While managing her, I collaborated creatively as well, co-writing a couple of her singles and contributing to her very first EP and its release. Together with our team, we also created the jingle for Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, blending branding and artistry into a project that resonated culturally. Through that work, I had the chance to write on songs produced by Multi‑Platinum producer Zaytoven and write on songs featuring Grammy‑nominated artist Elephant Man, experiences that deepened my respect for the craft and expanded my role in music beyond management into true creative collaboration.

That progression naturally led to the launch of Good Karma Ent LLC in 2024, where I stepped into the role of Co-Owner and Manager with cousin for rising music artist. In this role, I negotiate contracts with labels, publishers, distributors, and investors; develop tailored marketing strategies to build the artist’s brand and amplify visibility; oversee complete career development; and manage legal documentation. Good Karma brings together every aspect of my experience—strategic leadership, creative direction, business operations, branding, and artistry—into one cohesive mission.

Across entertainment, corporate America, brand development, culinary entrepreneurship, and music production, my story has been defined by adaptability, collaboration, resilience, and a commitment to bringing out the best in every project and person I work with. From South Jersey to Clark Atlanta University, from stadiums to studios, from corporate boardrooms to private event kitchens, each experience has shaped the leader, creative, and strategist that I am today—and my journey is still unfolding. The modern day “Bat Man” corporate America by day and music industry by night.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I wouldn’t say a smooth road. It’s been life. I’ve lost some battles and I’ve won some battles. Taking my experience as it comes but definitely has been the last thing but smooth lol

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In the day time I manage accounts for Coca-Cola and by night I’m all in with the music industry. I most proud of writing my 1st jingle when I was managing Jhonni Blaze. We wrote a jingle for Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks downtown Atlanta grand opening. Nothing tops them counting down to cut the ribbon and as soon as they cut the ribbon they play our jingle for everyone to hear. Seeing what we created come to life in front of our eyes.

Any big plans?
I planning to write for more artists covering all genres so that I don’t box in my creativity. I would love to write a show or movie script or both. Whatever god sees in my future. As long as I get to be in a creative space. Seeing where entrepreneurship takes me as I venture into having my own company
