Today we’d like to introduce you to Julia Craig.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Sure, it all started back in undergrad at Tuskegee University. TU You Know! I needed additional income . Whilenin undergrad I was a bartender at Harrison’s Farm during the weeknights and weekends, but it wasn’t enough. I needed to learn a skill of some sort that would carry me for years to come. Something I could always fall back on. So, I learned how to prepare taxes. The other areas of expertise developed years later as I continued to venture into other aspects of business and finance.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Oh, it’s been a journey to say the least. HA! I decided to become completely virtual in 2015 after a pipe burst at the office I was leasing , this caused significant damage to the property while I was away on business. That was one of the most challenging times for me. Everything was destroyed, and it was one of the most difficult experiences I had to overcome. Other challenges included building clientele and relationships with other professionals in similar areas of business was also tough. It’s not so easy to trust others due to the nature of the business. Once I experienced some partnerships … they taught me you cannot expect others to display the same ethical values as you. All in all, It’s been a blessed journey with some important lessons learned along the way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My entire family has been very supportive and involved in my business ventures from day one. My biggest cheerleaders are My Husband Travon, and our children La’Teria, Trae, and Trinity. They make it all worthwhile. My Mom has been the reasurring voice of reason when challenges seem to get the best of me. She reminds me of who I am and how far I have come.
The support I have has been overwhelming. From my sisters, Netria and Nelysia to my closet friends Pam, Tasha, Tamisha, and Tara speak so much life into me! They are my prayer warriors!
My Godmother Beverly Russell is one of the hardest working businesswomen I know. She has always encouraged me to get the life you want and be fabulous while doing it…even when it’s not pretty.
My clients are more like family, they encourage me and do not play about me. I am so grateful for everyone them.
