Today we’d like to introduce you to Kareem.

Hi Kareem, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Music always been in my life I’ve loved hip hop since I was born i grew up listening to 80s/90s hip hop and r&b and even music back in the soul train days lol my mom played a lot of music reggae especially , I started out as a kid rapper like most do I went by the name Young-N. I performed at americas got talent and showtime at the Apollo n got a buzz off that but I always knew I wasn’t gonna do the kid shit forever so I grew outta that and started writing songs I felt I wanted to hear so I dropped the young-N name and decided to go with my middle name Kareem it’s just who I am soon after I made my first album the cassette tape v.1 it helped me get well known in the underground scene but I wanted to really show off what I can do so I learned how to produce and got really nice with the production and made my second album CHAMPLOO entirely produced by me and ever since I been producing for other dope artist on the come up and working on new shit as well at the same time.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely some struggles, been in a few bad car accidents my worst one was in 2021 after I flipped off the road and got a fractured rib and a collapsed lung damn near almost dead fr but I got better after that i had my son in 2024 and theres been some rough times but he’s been my biggest blessing out of all of this

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
