Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenosha Cameron
Hi Kenosha , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have always been the kid who had a camera in their hand. Growing up my family owned an old camcorder and I used to always use it to put on little movies and do little skits. My mom was a beauty consultant so all my life I was around makeup and beauty products. Around the 7th grade I started my own body care business and it was history after that. When I entered high school I choose the pathway of media and journalism, where I fell in love with the art of cinematography and met some of tmy best friends. I have put on and helped create many photoshoot ideas and short films. In 11th grade I along with my group, won 3 awards at the Dekalb county Film festival. Now I own my own business Vivid Glam Studios where I help brands and people bring their idea to life, I also include editorial makeup and hair has a service.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Most of my struggles were in the lines of the fear of being perceived. I am overcoming the fear of being seen trying or even failing. I had to realize with failure comes growth.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Vivid Glam Studios, I specialize in creating bold, innovative, and personalized beauty experiences. My expertise lies in hairstyling, editorial makeup artistry, and creative directing, catering to individuals who love out-of-the-box and Afrocentric styles. Whether it’s a sew-in, Quickweave, wig installation, lace work, unique makeup looks, or photography, I deliver high-quality services that bring my clients’ visions to life.
I am most proud of my ability to transform not just appearances but confidence. Every service I provide is rooted in the belief that beauty is art, and I love helping clients express their unique identities through creative beauty.
What sets me apart is my ability to push boundaries. At Vivid Glam Studios, I don’t just follow trends—I create them. My attention to detail, passion for artistry, and ability to blend Afrocentric influences with modern aesthetics give my work a distinct edge. I’m not just about enhancing beauty; I’m about telling stories through my craft and making every client feel seen, celebrated, and empowered.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
The COVID-19 crisis taught me the importance of adaptability and the value of connection. As a creative entrepreneur, I learned how crucial it is to pivot and think outside the box during uncertain times. It reinforced the importance of having a strong online presence, which pushed me to refine my content and use platforms like TikTok to connect with a broader audience.
I also realized the importance of self-care and balance. The pandemic reminded me to prioritize my mental and physical well-being while staying committed to my goals. Most importantly, it showed me how resilient I am. Even in challenging circumstances, I found ways to create, grow, and stay inspired, which only strengthened my passion for my craft and my business.
