Hi Kimara, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my Paint Party Business a few months ago while looking for something that I can do to help with my anxiety. I heard that painting could be a great tool to combat anxiety so I started searching. I am horrible at drawing but having the pre-etched canvas and just coloring what I feel was so peaceful and I felt great. So I decided to look into starting a paint party business and found Paint Party Headquarters who is a membership based company that helps you start your own successful paint party business. That is how Picture Perfect Paintings was born.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a new business is always difficult and this has been no different. Struggling with mental health and anxiety does hinder me getting my business to the public. It took me three weeks after starting before I started reaching out to venues about hosting paint party events at their venue. Two knee surgeries months after each other was also a big hindrance. However, I know that you may get 99 nos and 1 yes out of 100.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in teaching paint parties to adults, kids, seniors, basically anyone who loves to paint. I’m available for church events, birthday parties, school fundraisers, and more. My parties are filled with laughter, good times and good music. While I will show you how to create certain techniques, the coloring, the look and style is totally up to you. I am most proud because 10% of every ticket sale goes to Swagg’s Green Ribbon Project, a nonprofit whose mission is to support children with mental health through therapeutic and educational cooking.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The characteristics that are most important to my success is family. Without my family encouraging me, helping me, and praying for me then I wouldn’t have the confidence to go out and make Picture Perfect Paintings a success.

- $35 and up in person painting
- $20 watercolor art kit for children or seniors.
- $325 private paint party with a minimum of 10 registered painters
