Today we’d like to introduce you to Krista Carter.
Hi Krista, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I founded a Loyal Society when I became a new mom and realized how easy it can become for self-care to fall off the to do list as women step into that amazing new role as moms. A Loyal Society is a self-care gifting company that creates modern gift boxes with all-natural essentials.
I was initially inspired to create all-natural self-care products that were calming and provided little moments of luxury that could be used in a few minutes for relaxation for mothers and women leading busy and dynamic lives.
A few months into the start of the pandemic, I pivoted into curating self-care gift boxes as a way for women to pamper themselves and their loved ones with everything that they’d need to do that in one box. Our clients use our self-care boxes to treat themselves to spa moments at home and many also send our boxes as care packages and wellness gifts to their family and friends.
As the Founder, I’m a huge advocate for self-care for women and mothers and passionate about wellness.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve learned so much along the way as a business owner. From the supply chain challenges that so many small business have faced during the pandemic to learning to evolve marketing strategies, the entrepreneurial road so far has been an ever-changing one over the past two years but really exciting overall.
I’ve learned to be even more creative in how I execute certain areas of the business and have definitely learned to be flexible in our approach. I’m so excited to continue to support our clients, along with the recipients of their gifts, in their self-care journeys with a luxe, personalized touch.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
In the wellness and gifting space as an entrepreneur, I’ve found that it’s extremely important to have resilience, authenticity, relationship building as strengths. My passion for our customers having amazing experiences with a personal touch when they encounter A Loyal Society has become a unique cornerstone in our business and is truly important to me as the founder.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think that the gifting industry will continue to see growth over the next several years and that there will continue to be expansion in the wellness/self-care industry overall. Many people are much more in touch with the need for self-care and ways to feel more in balance, along with a huge focus on wellness and healing.
Throughout the pandemic, many people have established new ways of keeping in touch with friends and family when they haven’t been able to visit as much, as well as seeing real value in sending special gifts to those they cherish. I anticipate that those changes in behavior will carry into the next several years ahead, which is so wonderful to be a part of as a company that is grounded in prioritizing those moments of care for yourself and for those you love.
