Life & Work with Ladell Hill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ladell Hill.

Hi Ladell, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
This seemingly predestined journey started when I was five years old as I took an interest in health and having a strong body. I would study body-building magazines left around the house by my family members and hung onto every word my grandfather would speak about taking care of my health through the herbs and plants we collected on his very large property in Tennessee. These childhood moments set the projectory of my life and career. My fascination with health and herbs remained strong throughout my life even though I have tried other paths to other careers. It was more of just a lifestyle at an early age than anything else, in the same way family food recipes are passed down through the generations. It seems foreign to some and familiar to others. I stayed in the gym religiously and ate raw sweet potatoes walking down the street just as my grandfather did when I was a child. I just wanted to be strong and healthy.

Health has no barriers. Everyone wants to feel good in their bodies. My knowledge of physical training led me to coaching celebrities and CEO’s who also took an interest in my unfamiliar ways of consuming food for a purpose. Around this time is when Chuice was born in 2011. It had always existed in my life, but I saw the positive impact it was having in the lives of my clients, and a small group of people had the vision to expand the product’s reach. My second company, Taste of Earth, which is an herbal line of supplements, started in the same way. I was hand-filling capsules of my custom herbal concoctions to give to clients, and the results were so significant that another group of investors wanted to see this product serve more people. I then went on to being featured as a guest on major tv and radio shows, like the Steve Harvey Show, CNN, and Fox News.

During all these decades of helping clients, creating companies, and speaking health on large platforms to reach more people, I became fascinated with biochemistry after my previous clients and now close friends, Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Dr. Sujit Sharma inspired me by showing me medical journals. They spoke a different language (medical terminology) and had a different perspective than me when it came to health because of their training as medical doctors. I started leisurely reading biochemistry books and eventually began to connect the dots of the why and how herbs and plants so keenly worked in the body. This opened the door to what I consider my life’s purpose: to educate people on how to take care of their bodies through cellular health. Now my house looks like a medical school research library as I continue to learn about this amazing creation we call the human body.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Looking back at my journey so far, the biggest obstacle has been that my knowledge and gifts were not widely relevant or accepted until now. 30 years ago, America was not in the health crises we are in now. I had something to share, but the audience was not ready for my message yet. I have been listening to New Age music and taking herbs since grade school and was teased about it. I did not have the awareness then, but now, scientifically, we see how impactful sound waves are on the brain and nervous system. Most people thought I was strange until my mid-thirties, when all the things I intuitively knew were beneficial to my health started to hit mainstream culture.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a health and lifestyle coach with a focus on molecular health. Our cells are our life because life cannot exist without cells. I can’t really think of a better feeling than when I get feedback from a client on how I empowered them to feel better in their body. I truly believe that health is our wealth. I have been practicing this lifestyle since I was a child. My grandfather always said, “the proof is in the pudding”, so I live and breathe health to be the best representation of what I speak and teach to my clients, which is a quality of life through cellular health. I am 57 years old, mountain biking and road biking around the country, happily waking up at 4 am to study and spend time with my Creator, and honestly feel better than I did when I was 37 because everything I put into my body now has a purpose. Aging has taught me more about the body than I could have ever known or experienced when I was in my 20’s. The compounds you need to consume in you’re in your 20’s are not the same as when you’re in your 30’s or 40’s or beyond. The design of the human body allows for a slower progression of aging than what we are accustomed to seeing or experiencing. I use the combined knowledge of my grandfather and what I have learned over the years by studying biochemistry to help my clients slow down aging in their cells.

One of the main problems we must address is clearing out toxins from the body. We live in a very toxic world. Man-made toxins are invading our bodies on a daily basis through pesticides, air pollution, and so much more. To counteract the ravaging effects on our cells, we must give our liver what it needs to detoxify efficiently. Phase 1 of the liver is on the front line of defense for man-made toxins that make it into the body. There are several nutrients that are needed in Phase 1 of the liver such as Magnesium and Vitamin C. Magnesium deficiencies are said to be common in Americans, which I also see in my clients. When you are lacking the required nutrients, the liver will back up with toxins.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
We have everything we need in the earth to take care of our health, it is mostly the knowledge of how to do it that has been lost, I see a major energy shift of people beginning to understand how important health is to their quality of life. I think health will continue to be on the forefront of the world’s priorities. We saw this in the pandemic. Nothing was more important than staying healthy during that critical time. I see a lot of natural products and natural practitioners popping up in the health marketplace. Previously, using natural methods of taking care of your body was seen as strange. Now, I think people are wanting and exploring alternatives to the traditional forms of healthcare, and we are seeing a rise in medical conditions as the world continues to become more and more toxic. Five years ago, most of my clients wanted to lose weight and have better skin, now the main concerns are more focused on avoiding chronic conditions and illnesses. I think this trend will continue.
