Today we’d like to introduce you to Louise Williams.
Louise, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I actually got my start as a Notary Public during my years as an elementary school secretary. Part of my duties included notarizing documents for parents and staff, and that’s where I first realized how important and impactful those small but essential services could be.
Later, when my son graduated high school, and we entered our “empty nester” season, I found myself reflecting on what I wanted to do next. That’s when the idea of creating a mobile notary business began to take shape. I loved the thought of taking something that I was already skilled in and turning it into a service that could help people in my community.
Starting Mobile Notary of Columbus has given me the chance to meet neighbors, support families, and make life just a little easier for people who need documents signed & notarized-often at life’s most important moments. It’s been such a rewarding journey, combining professionalism with something I truly enjoy-helping others.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but it’s been a meaningful one. I’ve had to learn how to run a business from the ground up-everything from marketing and scheduling to building a client base. There’s been moments of uncertainty, but I’ve learned to be resourceful, patient, and confident in my abilities. Word of mouth in my community is spreading, and I realize how much people appreciate having a friendly, reliable notary who comes to them. Those connections have made it all worthwhile.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I provide convenient & reliable notary services that come directly to my clients-whether at their homes, workplaces, coffee shops, or even parking lots.
I’m known for being friendly, dependable, and patient. I understand that many of the documents I handle are tied to important life moments, so I always aim to make the process stress-free and personable.
What sets Mobile Notary of Columbus apart is the personal touch-I truly care about the people I serve. It’s not just about notarizing a signature; it’s about helping my neighbors and being a trusted part of my community.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think the notary industry will continue to grow and adapt with technology, especially as more people look for convenient and secure ways to handle important documents. Right now, the state of Georgia doesn’t allow online notarizations, but that may change in the coming years.
Even as technology grows, I believe there will always be a need for that personal, face to face connection-especially in a community such as Columbus where people value trust and reliability. The future of the notary profession will be about balancing innovation with that personal touch.
