Today we’d like to introduce you to Mara Lucas.
Hi Mara, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I first discovered my passion for modeling and acting in high school. My friend’s mom was a stylist in a fashion show and needed a model so she made me do it lol needless to say, I fell in love with it. The same thing for acting, I was forced to do this skit for a friend’s media class and discovered how natural I am in front of the camera. To answer the question of how I got to where I am now… well I’m big on doing my research and networking. At every event I go to I introduce myself to everyone!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely not smooth! It was an is giving a road filled with potholes okay lol!!! The struggles I often face is people not being honest to simply put it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a jack of all trade and wear many hats! I am a licensed cosmetologist. I specialize in silk presses, sew-ins and just overall hair care. I am a Brand ambassador that has worked many events for brands like Heineken; Jack Daniel; El Herradura; Woodford whiskey; and Old Forrester just to name a few. I am a print and runway model. I’ve walked in several fashion shows, and I just made the cover of katana fashion and entertainment magazine so stay tuned for that. (Which is what I’m most proud of) I am also officially an actress!! I was just in my first Independent film called unexpected as a costar. That is now available on Tubi, and IMDb, And will soon to be released on Amazon prime! It was produced by FOH productions and I’m super excited for you guys to see it. What sets me apart from others, I believe is my work ethic and how I approach each and every project that I’m in.
