Today we’d like to introduce you to Markus King.
Hi Markus, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up, I wanted to be an actor. I was an extra in Barbershop 3 and then Stranger Things, and after that, I realized it wasn’t going to be as easy to become an actor as I thought it would be. So, I started brainstorming on ways to bypass the acting school route, and I landed on skits. Which I was already doing on Snapchat just low quality. Trying to entertain my friends.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The hardest part is just all the things life throws at you over the years, perfecting my style of content. What made it easy is my family and, most importantly, my mom always believed in me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Social media skits. I entertain people and try to make people laugh daily with skits, YouTube videos, or Twitch streams.
We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
I think you have to take risks to chase your dreams. Nobody is going to believe you at first but you. You’re chasing something that a lot of people want, but few actually succeed. But if you don’t take that risk, you’ll have regret for not trying. I think me putting all my time into content creation is a risk. I’ve been doing it for almost a decade now with no success until the last year. I could have given up a long time ago but didn’t.
