Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Myers.
Michael , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m originally from New York and spent time growing up in places like Philadelphia, New Jersey, Florida, and Arizona what lead me to move to Atlanta was the music scene, coming up I learned how to play guitar, drums and bass and at school and church. For college I went to the Conservatory for recording arts and sciences in Arizona and once I graduated 2022 I went to Atlanta for my internship and been here ever since
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t really been a smooth road, put in a lot of hrs from working full time jobs in order to paybills and interning at the same time it came to a point where I literally couldn’t afford a day off eventually when I got hired as an engineer after a couple years of interning and chose to trust myself and go all in
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an audio engineer but I also produce and write music for artists I’m like an all in one package deal, I’ve worked with big artists and independent artists and no matter what it’s a hit every time. What sets me apart from other is my approach to making music I focus on creating something that’s fun and expressive
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My advice is to learn from everyone even if they’re are not in the same field there is always knowledge or game you can pull from and apply to what you got going. How I got my mentors comes from them seeing how eager I are to learn and grow once they see that they’ll take time out their day to teach me something knowing I will be put to use
