Life & Work with Nicole Patterson of Canton, Georgia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Patterson

Hi Nicole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I certainly did not grow up dreaming I would work in real estate. As a child, I aspired to be a lawyer. I was on the fast track to becoming an attorney: I started college at 16, graduated at 20, accepted a full ride to law school and was ranked in the top of my class. But everything changed when my dad was tragically killed in an accident in the beginning of my second year of law school. My perspective shifted, my priorities shifted, and my eyes were opened to my life ahead. I asked myself, “is this what I really want to do for the rest of my life?” Around this time I purchased my first home and shortly thereafter bought a fixer upper with my husband to renovate and sell. I was finishing law school (because when you have a full ride, you finish) when my husband and I were flipping homes. I realized I love real estate. I love the homes, I love the stories they tell, I love the transactions, both the ups and downs, and I love playing a role in people’s lives. After graduating from law school I got my real estate license. We continued to flip homes, but I also then had the privilege to come alongside others in their own home buying and selling journey. I was enjoying serving others, but I wanted ownership in my business. At 30 I became a licensed Broker and opened my own Real Estate Brokerage. My husband and I are still flipping homes, I still have the honor of serving others, but for the past 5 years I have been able to do so under my own company: Patterson Realty LLC.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Is it ever a smooth road? God uses our struggles to strengthen us and to challenge us. While not pleasant, I’m grateful for the struggles. It isn’t easy being an independent broker. I’ve had to start from nothing, to build myself and my brand, the learn the ropes of business ownership, and to overcome the lies that being a small brokerage I’ll never compare or measure up to the big name competition. The Lord has me on my own journey, serving the people He puts in my path. Not to mention I got my brokerage license during covid. Talk about a transitional year!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
When I look back on my life, only one question matters: did I glorify God? This matters to me, both personally, and professionally. That being said, as a real estate professional I seek to serve my clients well. I take time listening to what matters most to them and helping them find the best solution. I don’t just sell pretty houses, I impact lives. I take pride in knowing and loving my community. When you work with me you can be confident in my professional skills, but also my personal attention. I’m known for my compassion, my work ethic, and my ability to get to the closing table with happy clients. I specialize in north metro Atlanta, specifically Alpharetta, Canton, Milton, Cumming, Ball Ground, Woodstock, Roswell. I’m a Georgia peach, born and raised. I truly consider my job a privilege.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
If you’re looking to buy, sell, or build, I’d be honored to help. I also love to support my community so happy to collaborate!
