Life & Work with Nour Awada of North Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nour Awada.

Hi Nour, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2013, I got married and moved from Lebanon to Germany. Just a year later, in 2014, my husband and I relocated to the U.S., where we began building our life together.

Shortly after, I became pregnant with our first daughter, and exactly one year later, we welcomed our second child. Those early years were completely centered around motherhood. I was fully dedicated to raising my girls and enjoying every moment of their childhood.

During that time, I found so much joy in decorating their birthday parties, and that’s when I discovered my interest in event planning. In 2019, I decided to start my own event decoration business. Just as things were beginning to take off, the pandemic hit, which delayed my plans. In 2023 I officially launched my business, “We Decorate – You Celebrate”.

In parallel, I’ve always had a deep passion for photography and creating videos that document our everyday life and the special moments we cherish as a family. What started as a personal Instagram page naturally evolved into a public digital content creation page “inspired.bynour”. Living in Lebanon, Germany, and the U.S. has given me a unique blend of three cultures that continues to shape my identity and creative expression.

Over the years, I also discovered a love for cooking, especially healthy, wholesome meals. I’ve learned so much about nutrition, parenting, and the little things that make daily life more meaningful. As a family, we’re always exploring, whether it’s new spots in Georgia, other states, or countries abroad. Today, my social media platform reflects all of that: healthy cooking, travel tips, hidden gems, mom hacks, parenting inspiration, and the experience of living abroad and navigating life as a foreigner.

It’s become a space where I can connect with others through authenticity, creativity, and shared experiences.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road. It’s been a journey full of beautiful moments, but also plenty of challenges along the way.
When I first moved from Lebanon to Germany and then to the U.S., I had to adapt not only to new languages and cultures but also to building a new life from scratch, far away from my roots and family support system. Becoming a mom shortly after added another layer of responsibility and change. I was deeply immersed in motherhood, which was both incredibly rewarding and completely overwhelming at times.
Starting my event decoration business was a dream, but right as I was preparing to launch, the pandemic hit. It forced me to put everything on hold, and with two young kids at home, it was tough to find the time and energy to keep that dream alive. But I didn’t give up. I waited, learned, planned and finally launched We Decorate – You Celebrate in 2023.
At the same time, growing a social media platform wasn’t easy either. Content creation takes a lot of time, effort, and consistency. especially when balancing family life, business, and everything in between. There were moments of doubt, moments where I felt invisible or discouraged, but I kept going because I genuinely love sharing, connecting, and creating.
Every struggle taught me something and helped shape the woman I am today. I’ve learned to be patient with myself, to trust the process, and to celebrate the small wins along the way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work reflects everything I’m passionate about “creativity, culture, family, and connection”. I’m a content creator and storyteller who specializes in lifestyle, healthy cooking, travel, life abroad, motherhood, and everyday inspiration. Through my platform, inspired.bynour, I share a blend of visually driven content that documents our family life, delicious wholesome recipes, hidden gems in Georgia and beyond, and honest moments of motherhood.
In addition to my digital content creation, I’m also the founder of We Decorate – You Celebrate, a boutique event decoration business born from my love of bringing joy and beauty to special moments. It started with decorating my daughters’ birthday parties and turned into something so much bigger. I absolutely love creating atmospheres that make people feel celebrated.
What I’m most proud of is building something meaningful from the heart while staying true to who I am. I didn’t start with a business plan or a big team, just a passion for creating, sharing, and connecting. And over time, that turned into a growing community of people who appreciate authenticity and creativity.
What sets me apart is my multicultural background, being Lebanese and German, and now calling the U.S. home. This blend of cultures influences everything I do, from the way I cook to how I celebrate traditions, parent my children, and tell stories. My content isn’t just about pretty photos and videos; it’s about real life, heartfelt moments, and bridging cultures.
Ultimately, my work is about inspiring others to find beauty in the everyday, embrace who they are, and celebrate life whether it’s through a simple recipe, a parenting tip, or a beautifully decorated party.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories was the annual summer break when we would escape the busy city and head to the village. It was a peaceful, green place, far from the noise and crowds of everyday life. I loved spending my days playing with simple things. Rocks, sticks, and whatever nature had to offer. One of the highlights was having lunch on a blanket with the other kids in the village, just enjoying the simplicity of it all. We’d also open our own little street shop, selling whatever small things we bought from the local store. It felt so free and fun, and those carefree summer days really shaped my love for nature, community, and the simple joys in life.
