Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige King.
Hi Paige, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Gemfit was born during one of the most challenging seasons of my life. I had recently gone through a divorce and undergone bilateral foot surgery. Before my surgery, I was a full-time entrepreneur in the fitness industry helping clients not only transform their physical appearance but also strengthen their mindset.
When I had to pause training to focus on healing, I found myself in a dark place. During that time, I told myself, “I need to find my inner Gem again.” I began rehabilitating both physically and spiritually, using that recovery period to draw closer to God and that’s when Gemfit was truly formed.
Gemfit stands for God Entered Mankind for Internal Transformation. It’s more than a brand; it’s a movement that reminds us that true transformation begins within. As you work on your health and physical goals, Gemfit encourages you to allow God to transform your heart, mind, and spirit.
Recently, I expanded Gemfit into a Christian-based T-shirt and activewear line designed to elevate both your faith and your comfort because when you feel good inside and out, you shine like the gem God created you to be.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. The journey has been far from easy. After going through a divorce, I suddenly found myself under intense financial pressure. I went into overdrive trying to hold everything together, which led to stress, anxiety, and depression. In July 2021, I suffered a seizure from exhaustion, followed by bilateral foot surgeries in August and December of that same year. During that time, I was unable to work and quickly fell behind on all my financial responsibilities.
Those were some of my darkest days, but slowly, I began to regain strength and focus on finding my inner gem again. Just as I started to rebuild my entrepreneurial journey, life shifted once more in April 2022, I gained custody of my two nephews as my sister battled a serious illness.
Although the road has been filled with hardship, each trial strengthened my faith. God met me in the valley and gave me the courage to rise again. Today, I share my testimony through Gemfit as a reminder that even in brokenness, transformation is possible through Him.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Outside of fitness and entrepreneurship, my professional background is rooted in the healthcare industry, where I’ve proudly served since 2015. After completing my assignment in the United States Army, I pursued my education to become a Medical Assistant. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of caring for countless individuals, combining compassion and professionalism in every interaction.
I currently work as a Back Office Coordinator in a concierge medical setting, where I specialize in total patient care addressing not just physical health but emotional and spiritual well-being as well. I am also pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, which continues to deepen my understanding of healthcare systems, patient advocacy, and holistic healing.
What I’m most proud of is how God has used every stage of my journey to shape my heart for service. My experiences both in healthcare and in life have taught me empathy, patience, and resilience. Those same qualities led me to become a personal trainer, helping others strengthen their bodies while nurturing their inner growth.
What truly sets me apart is my ability to merge faith, fitness, and compassion. Whether I’m working with patients, clients, or my own family, my goal is always to bring healing, encouragement, and transformation both inside and out.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that might surprise most people who know me or my brand is that I’m actually a reserved person, but I love to joke and bring laughter at the same time. Many see the confident, faith-driven woman behind Gemfit and assume I’ve always been bold but the truth is, I used to be very shy and hesitant to share my story. Over time, God helped me find my voice and the confidence to speak openly about my journey, using both my quiet strength and sense of humor to connect with others in a genuine way.
What most don’t know is that some of my greatest strength came from one of my biggest responsibilities: accepting the assignment to gain custody of my two nephews while my sister battled a serious illness. It wasn’t something I planned for, but I knew God was calling me to step in. That experience reshaped my entire perspective on purpose, love, and perseverance.
It taught me that true strength doesn’t always look like success or confidence it’s about showing up faithfully, even when life changes your plans.
Another thing that surprises people is that I’m a veteran who proudly served in the United States Army. That chapter of my life built the discipline, resilience, and faith that continue to guide me in both my healthcare career and my mission through Gemfit.
