Life & Work with Peachtree Fc of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Peachtree Fc

Hi Peachtree, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We started from a desire to provide an adult amateur soccer club for Atlanta that functioned professionally in all aspects except club status. After starting as a 5-a-side team playing through StationSoccer hosted by Soccer in the Streets, we grew to playing 7-a-side at Silverbacks Park before eventually becoming a 11-a-side team in the ADASL, the premier metro Atlanta amateur soccer league, in 2022.

In our 3 seasons, we’ve been promoted to the top division of our league, finished 4th last season, and we are currently one of the top two sides in Division 1 with a second team in their inaugural season currently in 3rd place. While on the field excellence is important to us, we strive to be the best off the field as well. From photography to videography to team events to custom team wear, we want to be the most recognizable amateur soccer side in the metro Atlanta area.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As with all new ventures, it wasn’t always easy. From training sessions with less than 5 people attending to finding consistent field space for training and games to covering unexpected costs, there have certainly been challenges. While we have had a variety of challenges over the years, we have fortunately come out the other side in a brighter and stronger position every time.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are an amateur soccer club with over 40 players across our two teams representing 15 countries. We pride ourselves on being competitive on the pitch for both teams while providing the best experience for all of our players including video of every game, photography, opportunities to showcase their abilities to teams at higher levels, team bonding events, and custom team gear.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Through the crisis, we were able to continue building our high standards of being a team player. It was important to us to ensure everyone’s health and safety even if that meant the detriment of people not being available given Covid protocols. With that in mind, we had short-term disadvantages of players not being available but it’s helped in the long term as it’s just one of the many standards we hold our team to as we continue to build as professional an environment as possible.
