Today, we’d like to introduce you to QP. WorldWide.
Hi QP., please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started off with nothing but ambition and the sure willingness to make it happen. I initial started my journey as an artist just making music and that became my root for all my other endeavors that I have now.
I always had dreams of owning my own business, making my own clothes, an producing my own shows but when I first started out, I felt that all those things would transpire later after my music career took off. But God definitely had other plans for how things should go.
Remaining diligent with my music journey, I started to really dive into the business aspect of music. I’ve been a fan of different pioneers like Master P, J Prince, Birdman, T.I., and Gucci Mane. What I always admired was that they had their own. They weren’t just artists; they had artists; they had clothing lines and made other business moves in general.
One thing I always knew just from being a student of the game is that if you don’t know what you are supposed to know, that means you are vulnerable, so just like outside, you can be taken. So, I started to invest my time in learning the ins & outs of contracts, song percentages, licensing rights, and everything I could. To be honest, I’m still learning. But that whole deep dive of information opened me up to vamping my business. I also can’t forget my two cousins, who both gave me a lot of games along the way.
One major influence in the music industry helped me make my brand bigger. He helps me with different avenues I could use to build an connect with the people. One of the main things he said that stuck with me was creating merch. I always wanted to start my clothing line. My other cousin helped open me up to corporate maneuvers. Stocks Crypto the ways to shield your money Trust Corporations etc. I had already had some insight but our conversation definitely helped me really get into it all the way.
Now, all these different concepts have come to mesh a format into a brand due to the pandemic. I was still working the music and working at the time but I always knew I wasn’t gone be working for long an after having the worst luck with even getting a job I knew life was directing me somewhere else I just didn’t know where and how exactly. Now, at this point, I’m pretty familiar with the music business and a few staples ins and outs any independent artist should know. I’m versed in the corporate business aspect of things, finalizing my knowledge on LLCs, stuff you can do with them, etc.
The small info I amassed a ringing view points from my family didn’t become prevalent though until I got fired from my job. So, it’s the beginning of the pandemic I just got fired an I only got a few hundred dollars stashed away and one check coming. Thank God I always had some extra motion because I wouldn’t have had the extra money stashed.
So, working under pressure and running under the influence of betting big on myself. I took my last and created my LLC, WORLDWIDE MONOPOLY, and created my first batch of merch to sell WEALTH A WORLDWIDE COMPANY. The rest till now is a whole lot of grind trophies and losses, but we are still in the game putting up points. Thank the most.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and I haven’t always kept my cool along the road, either. But when I feel overwhelmed or get diverted from the course, I remind myself that nothing worth having is easy to obtain. A great line from the book Rich Dad Poor Dad that stuck with me is “Life doesn’t conspire against you. It makes you prove who you say you are”. So, when things go sideways, I remind myself I’m that guy, and it’s all a part of my storyline.
Bio Pic is going to be an Oscar Winner. But to be direct, I’ve had struggles with funding and having to mess my own credentials up just to figure out why I couldn’t get funded. I’ve had issues with vendors not meeting deadlines, but I already booked a venue or had the marketing set up and prepared. I could write a book about adversity and struggles, but again, it’s all a part of the journey. Every loss I have taken, I have learned from. I had to lose a lot of time just to figure out what I didn’t know.
That’s just how it goes. If you want to be great out here, you have to go through the fire, so when it’s time for 4real, they will never see you sweat. Being an Entrepreneur is not easy, but it’s worth it because it’s yours. Take your licks, get back up, and keep going. “Quitters get the same results as the losers.” QP. WorldWide.
Thanks. What else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Well, I am a true creative. I make music. It’s extremely hard, by the way. Tap in. I create clothes. I produce my own productions. I take what I see in my brain, and I bring it forth into reality. I can’t say what I am most proud of because I am equally proud of everything I create.
The sure process of thinking about something, sketching or jotting it out, and then producing it where others can partake in my creation as well is priceless to me, from somebody streaming my songs to a person watching one of my episodes or videos to a person wearing my merch that I designed myself.
The feeling never gets old, and I appreciate it every time. What sets me apart from everybody else is that I am me: my music embodies me, and my clothing represents what I wish for the world’s WEALTH in all aspects. I am my own kind.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and can you share any important lessons or epiphanies with us?
The main thing COVID taught me was to love your people every day.
Be big on yourself every time, and always have something for yourself that you are in control of because, in another person’s design, you can always become disposable.
