Life & Work with Quentin “Queuebeats” Sims of Southwest Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Quentin “Queuebeats” Sims

Quentin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my music career right after high school at Frederick Douglass High. (1996) I was an up and coming rapper and was introduced to Maul Brown (Sleepy Brown brother from Organized Noize) and I started working with him and learned about music production. Maul Brown and Tracy Oglivie are instrumental in where I am today in my music career.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been easy I’ve lost my mom to cancer in 2006 right when I made the Billboard’s Chart as a feature artist and producer on the hit single “Let’s Go” by REEC. I lost a-lot of my friends and family during this journey but by the grace of God I was able to overcome.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a music producer, songwriter and beat maker born and raised in Atlanta Georgia. I specialize in Artist Development and make a formidable effort to carve out the music career the artist has in mind. My love for all genres of music is what sets me apart. I want to have a hit record in every music genre possible. My most proudest moment is helping create the anthem for the city I love dearly. “ Old Atlanta” is the lead single from the BoLegs Soundtrack a soundtrack accompanied by the documentary on Marvin Arrington Sr. who helped shape New Atlanta with the policies he helped implement after the Jim Crow Era in Atlanta during the late 1960’s. Most people know me for my music production company QueuebeaTs

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
To make sure I live by the Ten Commandments fully. Love God with all my heart, mind and soul is what I learned during this journey. Keep GOD FIRST ALWAYS!
