Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricky Town.
Ricky, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I always start at the beginning. As a young boy I was fascinated with the photography darkroom. Each time I saw the process in a movie or on television I said, I want to do that.
They offered a media course in high school to include photography. Developing my first film and printing it put me on the path I have been on since 1974.
After a career in Loss Prevention and Information Technology, I decided to start my own photography business after working as a studio photographer.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Getting started, branding your name and building trust takes time. Once you get there, you are there.
Each day you have to keep believing in yourself and wowing your clients.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a wedding and special events photographer. I specialize in creating memorable content.
I am known for my detail to color, clarity and wow images.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
According to the Bible, the Wedding along with the Food and Beverage industry will be here to the end of time. “They were eating and drinking, marrying and given in marriage…) Photography may evolve but it will remain an active part of the industry.
