Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not. I struggled with that in the beginning thinking things would be easy but I got my wake up call early. It’s not easy and it’s honestly not meant to be easy. I still have battles that I fight and storms that I go through but I wouldn’t change any of it at all. It’s made me appreciate every single one of the high points that I’ve had for myself, Ry Media Company, and Ry Media Company Sports.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Ry Media Company and Ry Media Company Sports are both my companies. Ry Media Company is a multimedia company. We deal with everything photography, videography, and graphic related. The thing I’m most proud of about Ry Media Company is still being here and still growing. We’ve grown so much over these last 4 years and I’m beyond thankful for that. I’m thankful for every client that has booked with us. It definitely hasn’t been an easy road, but it has been so worth it. Ry Media Company Sports was actually formed in 2023. I LOVE sports. I’m a junkie. My favorite sport is football. College football to be more specific. I wanted to get into doing sports photography, but honestly I ran from it for so long. I don’t know why but I did. At the start of the 2023 season, I stopped running and I stepped into the sports photography game. I started to shoot high school football games and everything rolled from there. I’ve covered so many dope games. I was able to cover Camellia Bowl game between Northern Illinois and Arkansas State that was on ESPN. I’ve covered plenty of football, basketball, baseball, and track competitions but that ESPN game is definitely my favorite accomplishment right now and I’ve done it TWICE. I covered the Western Michigan/South Alabama bowl game on ESPN. At Ry Media Company, we cover everything when it comes to photography. Portraits, events, weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, you name it. Same with videography. Ry Media Company Sports covers ALL sports. We photograph everything from football, to basketball, baseball, track, swimming, tennis, you name it !
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Absolutely. Changes come weekly in this photography game. You just have to learn how to learn and adapt with every single change. If you don’t, you’ll be left behind.
